RUSSET

我们给这支香取名褐，取的不是深棕色，是落叶落下来之后的那个颜色。

树上还黄着的时候，叶子是亮的。落下来就不一样了。踩过，淋过雨，边儿先卷，颜色一天比一天沉。

川渝的秋天本来就短，梧桐落完银杏落，街边铺一层。我们想留的，就是那层地面。喷在袖口，穿外套的季节刚好。

We called this one Russet. Not dark brown, but the colour leaves become once they've fallen.

On the tree they're bright. On the ground they change: stepped on, rained on, curling at the edges, a little deeper every day.

Autumn in Sichuan and Chongqing is short. Plane leaves fall, then ginkgo, and the pavement fills up. That layer underfoot is what we wanted to keep. Spray it on a cuff, just in time for coat weather.
